OBW

who needs an On-Board-Welder when you can build one-a-'dese!?!

i dig the part where he made copper terminals for the cut-off-ends of his jumper cables by hacking off chunks of 1/2" copper pipe, crimping it around the wire, hammering the other end flat, and drilling a hole to mount it on the stud of the alternator.

Re: OBW

Guys do that for lugs on electric cars too. Works pretty well. Not the best looking, but can flow lots of amps.

Re: OBW

Still dragging on. Thanks to the wisdom of the U.S. Govt., they have to do thorough checks before selling someone a 40 year old outdated truck. Sometimes it takes a couple weeks or less, this time it happens to be taking much longer. It will be 45 days as of Sunday that I've been waiting.

For that first Deuce recovery, my father offered his truck and trailer (and his help) so we will be all set. But I'm also waiting for the EUC to come back for the Louisville one. I already bought a plane ticket (to get locked into the deals before they go away) for Oct. 20th. If for some reason I'm not approved by then I can use the money from the ticket towards another ticket (no refunds on my cheapie ticket).

When I get the one from Kentucky home I'll be taking it for pleasure drives...it would be a good chance to get down your way, have lunch with the N.Y. guys hiding over there, and also verify that Chris really does own a Jeep...lol.
