Check Engine Help

After changing sparks plug the check engine light came on. I have checked the gap on spark plugs twice. After reinstalling plugs then driving for a while light comes back on.

Always replaced spark plugs before a smog. Jeep ran fine until i changed plugs.

New Spark Plugs: AutoLite AP985 Gap: .35

Computer Code: #43

What I found about code 43:
*Peak primary coil current not achieved with max dwell time
*Cylinder misfire
*Problem in power module to logic module interface

Whats my next move, check or part to replace?

Re: Check Engine Help

Check the plug wires and coil wire. Make sure they are in good condition, no corroded terminals , etc.

make sure you didn't get two wires switched? Happens to the very best, sometimes...

Re: Check Engine Help

Replacing spark plug wires solved check engine light issue. Forgot about O2 sensor will change tomorrow that may smooth out my idle issue,  Thanks.
