Hello,
My name is Jef and I live in SE Louisiana. I recently purchased a 1999 Cherokee Sport 4X4.
So far I have added a Rustys Air Tube, Throttle Body Spacer and a Cat Back Exhaust. Next month I am replacing all fluids. Would like to hear from experienced XJ owners for recomendations. I have 79000 miles.

Welcome Jeff! Sounds like you spent a few bucks!! Just curious, do you have a filter and what kind did you end up using? Also what size did you go with on the spacer? Post some pics...I'd love to see them.

I purchased a package from Rustys. Airtube with K&N filter, Throttle Body Spacer and Muffler & Tail Pipe for $255. I dod feel a smoother exceleration and a quicker response. After a few tanks I will know if I improved my gas mileage. Will post pics soon. I swapped the steel stock wheels for alloys from a Grand Cherokee.
My door moldings are in bad shape, any recomendations as to where to buy replacements?

Sweet! I was thinking about buying the Rusty's performance package as well. I've been debating a little because my Jeep is an 88 and sometimes when you add performance parts on an old vehicle it can cause other problems. In the end I'm sure I will do it. My door moldings were in bad shape as well. I just went to my local Jeep dealership. The reason being is that it was hard to find molding as old as my Jeep was. Since your Jeep is newer you might be able to find them cheaper on e-bay. My favorite places to shop are 4wd.com and Rusty's. I spent just $110 on my liftgate. I guess it all depends on how much you want to spend. You can also go to your local junk yard and check for salvageable moldings.

Welcome, I am interested also in increasing performance in my old 87' pioneer. I will check out Rusty's and see what they have. I may look at putting a exhaust header. I am not to familar to the spacer you added, does this allow more throttle response? My jeep does not seem to down shifyt when I increase pressure on the throtle. I have to really put down pressure. Any tips on ways to get more out of my ride?
