Re: New Guy

Hello to all. I own a 1987 Pioneer with 4.0 It has 116000 on odometer but title says not actual mileage, so not sure how many miles are on engine. Runs real good. Just had compression check done, 175. Also had rear main seal replaced along with frony seal and valve cover gasket. I had this painted a royal blue and it is all stock, no lift. 4x4 works real well also.

Re: New Guy

Welcome!! Looks like you and I have the more seasoned Jeeps on this forum. I too had to replace my rear main seal as well as my valve cover gasket. Do you plan on lifting her up?

Re: New Guy

No lift planned, just stock will be just fine. I do plan on getting a roof rack so that I can relocate my spare tire and gain more room for gear. maybe a new front bumper with a winch? It is my daily ride. I got it painted last year. All in all, it is pretty good shape. What changes have you thought of?

Re: New Guy

What changes have I thought of?  Mooaaaah ha ha ha !

Many...

First off I'm going to change my trac bar and stabilizer since they are OEM. I've talked to many people that have a lift and from what they said having OEM trac bar can cause what they call, "the wobble of death." If you want to read more check this article out http://jeep.off-road.com/jeep/article/a … ?id=261532. Then I'm going to purchase the proto fab rear bumper and tire carrier. You cant beat the price. Since it comes steel color stock I'll have to paint it. No worries though. Not too sure on the front bumper...still trying to decide. Possibly a Warn with a brush guard.I also plan on adding the rusty's performace package. Maybe even slapping a turbo on it! I have many more ideas but, I'm trying to keep this to a minimum. Thanks for asking though.

Re: New Guy

I got the performance package from Rusty's but have not installed it yet. I just ordered a roof rack that I found for 180 bucks. Looks nice on the web page, hope I am not disappointed. Comes with all the mounting hardware and a wind deflector too. Hope all your projects go well.
