Re: Help!

Your new plugs and wires are mis firing or something. Double check them.

Re: Help!

Code 43 is a Fault in Ignition Coil Control Circuit.

it is a misfire

What kind of plugs and wires did you use when they were replaced?

Misfiring can be caused by using either Cheap parts or parts that fit the application, but are not what the manufacturer calls for

Such as using Platinum sparkplugs

My 1998 does not like Platinums I use Champion Truck sparkplugs.

Re: Help!

Same thing happened to the ZJ I was trouble shooting. Turned out plug wire #1 had a crack in the insulation and was shorting to ground. Didn't see it till it was dark and she tried to crank the engine.
